Position: Senior Designer - Girls Toys
Reporting to: Sr. Director of Product Development


Overview:

In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Product Development, this position is expected to be a key business contributor for the company by defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings, and designing fully functional products. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing design projects from concept to completion; meeting creative timelines; hitting key client expectations and demonstrate creative problem solving around consumers needs.

This position is located on-site in our Boca Raton, Florida offices Monday through Thursday, with an option to work remotely on Fridays.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Create drawings, sketches, and renderings to convey new concepts and ideas to engineering, marketing, packaging and management.
  • Create 3D mock-ups and kit-bashed models to communicate scale and function if necessary.
  • Prepare control drawings, parts lists and descriptions for the construction of prototypes and tooling models.
  • Work on concept development with an understanding of cost and the mechanical engineering aspects of product development.
  • Apply industrial design excellence in the application of color and creation of fit, form and function.
  • Manage daily communications with Hong Kong engineering team.
  • Participate in formal and informal reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate new product ideas.
  • Work as a team player with cross functional awareness and respect.
  • Work with outside vendors to supplement internal development resources.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from accredited industrial design, toy design or related degree.
  • 5+ years experience in professional industrial design in the toy industry.
  • Someone whos willing to do all parts of the product development process as well as manage the daily communications with our Hong Kong engineering team
  • Ability to take a project from concept designs through to full production specification.
  • Have a curious and creative attitude and demonstrate creative problem solving around consumers needs.
  • Have a passion for toys and toy trends, while staying up to date with popular culture, social media and new media platforms to influence designs and creative expressions in the workplace.
  • Possess sketching skills with a high ability to conceive and clearly communicate 3D objects in 2D space.
  • Possess great sense of aesthetics with the ability to identify the essence of a style and apply it to form across a variety of different style brands.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, capable of articulating intelligent design solutions, project details, creative problem solving with a passion to succeed.
  • Ability to be highly functioning with minimal direction while enjoying the ability to learn all aspects of the business.
  • Must be skillful in presenting and communicating designs and problem-solving abilities to a multi-discipline development team and company executives.
  • Be proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop programs.
  • Have knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Solid Works, Key Shot, and 3D software experience are a plus.

Position: Package Designer


Overview:

The Package Designer will take conceptual direction and work collaboratively with the Creative team and Marketing partners to create graphics and packaging based on requirements to meet the creative objectives of world-class brands and clients, as well as in-house projects. Contribute by suggesting fresh ideas, designing mockups, delivering quality design work, and being a hands-on team player.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Help to manage Basic Fun!’s brand and design, building an exciting and cohesive look across company collateral.
  • Create graphics and packaging independently and take direction in a team-based environment.
  • Edit image for print, web, and interactive mediums.
  • Generate mocks for pitching and proposals.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to specifications and direction outlined by the creative director and client.
  • Understand and adhere to Basic Fun!’s standards of design.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the client and creative director, and amend designs after feedback.

  • Maintains a high level of knowledge and skill with all computer software related to the design and production of packaged goods and graphics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Package Design or related field or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have a diverse creative portfolio that showcases an in-depth understanding of contemporary design practices.
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing the Brand product and marketing strategy, acting as the global hub for the Brand, collaborating with sales, product development, operations, digital marketing & marketing services, creative services and other cross-functional teams to achieve successful results that drive established revenue and P&L expectations annually.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all functions of the global brand management discipline across cross-functional teams.
  • Create Line Plans / Line Extension strategies and execute elements of the product commercialization process, including close collaboration with the product development team; assisting in driving the development cycles against the product launch milestones; managing Product Specs, costing targets, margin requirements while delivering market-relevant product solutions that possess a strong price/value proposition.

Position: Staff Accountant


Overview:

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for supporting the day to day accounting functions by performing reconciliations and posting appropriate journal for the preparation of the companys financial reports and statements.

This position is located on-site in our Boca Raton, Florida offices Monday through Friday, with an option to work remotely on Fridays.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare and post journal entries related to the companys activity.
  • Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and accruals.
  • Supports account receivable activities, confirming month-end procedures have been performed.
  • Reconcile bank accounts in accounting system.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations during month-end close procedures.
  • Maintain customer and vendor database; assist in customer credit analysis.

Position: Licensing & Sample Coordinator


Overview:

In collaboration with the Director of Licensing, this position handles the coordination of all licensing approvals as well as sample requests for Sales, Marketing, SAS, Licensor, Social Media, and other special requests.

Full-time on-site position located at our company's headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to manage the product submission and approvals process with a diverse portfolio of licensors.
  • Manage the Licensors approval systems & software.
  • Serves as Point Person for all sample requests by communicating and coordinating with requestor, Creative Services, Warehouse, as well as Product Development and Hong Kong, as needed.
  • Responsible for Licensor production samples as per contract.
  • Tracks and maintains sample room inventory and restocks as necessary.
  • Receives and distributes SAS samples from Hong Kong and distributes accordingly.
  • Coordinates all samples needed for tradeshow presentations.
  • Packs and labels all outbound samples.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.

The Project Management Specialist reports to the Sr. Manager of Operations & Business Analysis and will work to ensure that Basic Fun! is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. Contribute by suggesting fresh ideas, delivering quality, and being a hands-on team player.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Serves as a point of contact for teams within Basic Fun! when multiple departments are assigned to the same project.
  • Ensures team actions remain in synergy.
  • Attends and participates in meetings with project team to answer questions, discuss changes to the current schedule and/or budget.
  • Meets regularly with Leadership team to advise on the teams progress.

Position: International Marketing Manager


Overview:

This position is a key growth driver for the company and is responsible for re-igniting one of the worlds most iconic collectibles brands which sold over 1 billion units in the 2000s. This role is primarily responsible for the planning, implementation and optimization of consumer and trade marketing activities. Key responsibilities include executing go-to-market strategies globally, acting as the day-to-day marketing communications hub for the Brand (and potentially others), providing turn-key marketing asset kits and sharing best practices with global sales to achieve successful results.

Additionally, given the nature of driving always on collectability, this role will work closely with the Digital Marketing team to develop and help lead the social media strategies and platforms.

Full-time on-site position located at our company's headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • In collaboration with brand management leadership, work with key international markets to identify any product and/or channel management requirements localized for key territories/markets.
  • In collaboration with the Creative Services team, drive all POS signage and in-store. merchandising solutions for the brand for all key international territories/markets.
  • Assist leadership in development of go-to-market strategy at a global level.
  • Lead day-to-day execution of marcomm strategy including but not limited to providing global asset turnover packets; providing bi-weekly Brand updates; collaborating with the key global market leads on the efficient and effective localization of global marketing plans.
  • Work with Digital Marketing team on social-media, PR and stunt marketing plans; help manage and/or lead activity on various platforms.
  • Become the go-to Expert and voice for the fan enthusiasts of the Collectible Brand helping drive innovation and growth for future fan development/engagement.

  • Provide relevant imagery to support trade and consumer features.
  • Prepare stand and display brief for Domestic and international toy fairs for the brand.
  • Source all imagery and video content and collaborate with the Creative Services team to create dramatic impact graphic layouts for both Basic Fun! and international distribution partners Trade Show presentations.
  • Ensure all samples, logistics and manning for show planned effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience at an international marketing level within the Toy or related Childrens sector.
  • Experience and passion for social media communication and global go-to-market management.

Participate in developing account-specific sales plans for assigned Product Lines. Attend retailer business review meetings for key accounts, when necessary.
  • Manage all promotional and merchandising planning, collaborate with marketing services team to execute all promotional activities/activations, including PR, traditional media and all social media platforms and amplifications.
  • Track category trends and retail environments/channels; use intel to illuminate priorities and Product Line planning.
  • Direct the development and management of outbound communications materials, including, creative briefs, Web copy, e-commerce assets, trade show presentation and messaging, sales collateral materials, print and digital media platforms.
  • Monitor product activity at national accounts. Maintain an understanding of online e-commerce activity. Ability to analyze activity and provide product insights/ recommendations.
  • Create and manage marketing plans, budgets and analysis for assigned product lines.
  • Collaborate with digital and social media marketing and sales teams to ensure assigns product lines are properly represented on e-commerce sites/accounts.
  • Prepare product concept Decks for presentation to Licensors for assigned Product Lines/Brands.
  • Collaborate with licensing team to maintain communication with licensors. Work with licensors during brand planning and product development process.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing.
  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant marketing, brand or product management experience.
  • Passionate individual who is a self-starter and can promote best practices for brand planning and management
  • Proven experience in leading multiple strategic projects involving internal and external resources/partners.
  • Practical knowledge of the product development and manufacturing functions as it relates to the product commercialization process.
  • Must be able to demonstrate interest in toys and/or childrens entertainment products through professional or personal means.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills; experience with Microsoft suite is required.
  • Highly organized and efficient. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Easily adapt to shifts in priorities; ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work effectively across different teams, departments, and third parties.
  • Experience selling /presenting to retail buyers, Toy category experience preferred.
  • Experience in trade shows, product & lifestyle photography shoots, consumer insights.
  • Ability to travel, as needed.

Position: Digital Asset Coordinator


Overview:

In collaboration with the Creative Director, Digital & Social Media Marketing, this position is responsible for organizing and maintaining a digital asset library consisting of still images, videos, art files and audio files with attention to detail and a passion for process. This role is integral in the process of ensuring digital assets transition from internal or external studios to our proprietary asset library; leads lead the distribution of these files, to internal and global constituencies, as well as to our retailers via an automated digital syndication platform. Serves as a second pair of eyes to ensure assets meet brand guidelines and legal requirements

Part-time, temporary on-site position located at our company's headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the companys asset syndication platform ensuring all products Core and Enhanced Content is accurate and completed to retailer requirements.
  • Maintenance and organization of the company asset library including file naming and hierarchy.
  • QA of images and videos included Ensuring files are the correct size and file type, and that images and videos meet brand, licensor, and retailer standards.
  • Manage the flow of assets from the internal studio and outside vendors to the asset library.
  • Participate in bi-weekly asset status calls.
  • Provide updates on asset status in our Asset Tracker doc as needed. Aide in ensuring all assets are completed as needed and on time.
  • Communicate with the Studio on missing or incorrect assets.
  • Simple reformatting of images (size, file type).

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree in business, computer science, or marketing; or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years Digital Asset Management and/or related creative function preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and organization and database management.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Adobe Creative Suite a plus).
  • General knowledge of photo production process and familiarity with all types of still and video file formats.
  • Ability to execute and prioritize multiple projects while always being a team player with positive attitude.
  • Is thoughtful about scalable solutions and alternative process based on changing needs.
  • Is extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Has great written & verbal communication skills - and is able to juggle and effectively manage the communication with marketing, creative, sales and studio teams on multiple projects at one time.
  • Collaborates on the development and enforcement of asset management policies, procedures and guidelines that can be socialized to the broader cross-functional teams.
  • Has experience with and a demonstrated understanding of DAM platforms and project management platforms (Syndigo and/or Wrike platforms are a plus - basic ability to resize or reformat images and video in Adobe Suites would be a plus, as well).
  • Is a great collaborator with a desire to get things done, well and on- time.
  • Ability to travel, as needed.

Position: National Account Specialist


Overview:

The National Accounts Specialist will support the Vice President of Sales on key accounts in emerging market channels: Clubs Drugstores, Department Stores and Discounters by managing the planning function, preparing presentations, processing sample requests, forecasting, entering orders for shipments.

Full-time on-site position located at our companys headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Sales Presentation and Preparation:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Use these tools to support Customer sales presentations/pitches, Customer specific visual line lists.
  • Help create Internal sales goals and planning documents by customer. Update the planning documents in OneDrive.
  • Leverage multiple file and image sharing tools including FileRun, WRIKE and proprietary software for PowerPoints, image requests from customers, and price list sheets to complete assets needed for sales pitches or customer requests. Work in WRIKE, an asset management tool, to ensure we are supporting our customers effectively and efficiently.
  • Create sample requests form and manage the sample process with a focus on achieving deadlines.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing customer quotes domestic and work with HK merchandisers for import quotes and timelines.

Customer planning and Sales Management:

  • Manage a 12-month rolling forecast in the Intranet for multiple accounts.
  • Share forecast summary weekly with third party Rep group by account to build, move or cancel forecast with input from VP of Sales.
  • Communicate daily with our HK team regarding POs, revisions, inventory, shipping, etc.
  • Communicate daily with demand planning to ensure products offered are available and can be shipped.

Channel Management & Maintenance by Customer

  • Create channel management forms with VP sales for Marketing after identifying customer exclusives with team. Follow up to ensure customer timelines for samples and presentations are met.
  • Create customer specific price lists
  • Manage the customer set up sheets when changes occur.
  • Manage the deal sheet submissions when there is a price variance or above and beyond expenditure.
  • Manage the presentation calendar in Teams for customer meetings
  • Review the closeout list weekly to discover new opportunities for Value Channel accounts.
  • Collaborate weekly with VP Of Sales to review account status and open issues as well as order and POS status.
