Position: Senior Designer - Girls Toys
Reporting to: Sr. Director of Product Development


Overview:

In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Product Development, this position is expected to be a key business contributor for the company by defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings, and designing fully functional products. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing design projects from concept to completion; meeting creative timelines; hitting key client expectations and demonstrate creative problem solving around consumers needs.

This position is located on-site in our Boca Raton, Florida offices Monday through Thursday, with an option to work remotely on Fridays.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Create drawings, sketches, and renderings to convey new concepts and ideas to engineering, marketing, packaging and management.
  • Create 3D mock-ups and kit-bashed models to communicate scale and function if necessary.
  • Prepare control drawings, parts lists and descriptions for the construction of prototypes and tooling models.
  • Work on concept development with an understanding of cost and the mechanical engineering aspects of product development.
  • Apply industrial design excellence in the application of color and creation of fit, form and function.
  • Manage daily communications with Hong Kong engineering team.
  • Participate in formal and informal reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate new product ideas.
  • Work as a team player with cross functional awareness and respect.
  • Work with outside vendors to supplement internal development resources.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from accredited industrial design, toy design or related degree.
  • 5+ years experience in professional industrial design in the toy industry.
  • Someone who's willing to do all parts of the product development process as well as manage the daily communications with our Hong Kong engineering team
  • Ability to take a project from concept designs through to full production specification.
  • Have a curious and creative attitude and demonstrate creative problem solving around consumers needs.
  • Have a passion for toys and toy trends, while staying up to date with popular culture, social media and new media platforms to influence designs and creative expressions in the workplace.
  • Possess sketching skills with a high ability to conceive and clearly communicate 3D objects in 2D space.
  • Possess great sense of aesthetics with the ability to identify the essence of a style and apply it to form across a variety of different style brands.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, capable of articulating intelligent design solutions, project details, creative problem solving with a passion to succeed.
  • Ability to be highly functioning with minimal direction while enjoying the ability to learn all aspects of the business.
  • Must be skillful in presenting and communicating designs and problem-solving abilities to a multi-discipline development team and company executives.
  • Be proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop programs.
  • Have knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Solid Works, Key Shot, and 3D software experience are a plus.

Position: Package Designer


Overview:

The Package Designer will take conceptual direction and work collaboratively with the Creative team and Marketing partners to create graphics and packaging based on requirements to meet the creative objectives of world-class brands and clients, as well as in-house projects. Contribute by suggesting fresh ideas, designing mockups, delivering quality design work, and being a hands-on team player.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Help to manage Basic Fun!’s brand and design, building an exciting and cohesive look across company collateral.
  • Create graphics and packaging independently and take direction in a team-based environment.
  • Edit image for print, web, and interactive mediums.
  • Generate mocks for pitching and proposals.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to specifications and direction outlined by the creative director and client.
  • Understand and adhere to Basic Fun!’s standards of design.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the client and creative director, and amend designs after feedback.
  • Understand the importance of following a brand guide document to ensure that assets are on brand, on strategy, and accurately executed based on approved assets and style guidelines.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge and skill with all computer software related to the design and production of packaged goods and graphics.
  • Ensures and maintains a positive environment with team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Package Design or related field or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have a diverse creative portfolio that showcases an in-depth understanding of contemporary design practices.
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Amazing attention to detail.
  • Manage time and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Have an excellent understanding of design fundamentals including layout and composition.
  • Desire to learn and contribute in a creative, collaborative environment.

Position: Brand Manager - LPS


Overview:

In partnership with the VP Global Brand Marketing, this position is a key growth driver for the company and is responsible for re-igniting one of the worlds most iconic collectibles, Littlest Pet Shop! Key areas of responsibilities include; developing and executing Littlest Pet Shops product and marketing strategy, acting as the global hub for the Brand, collaborating with sales, product development, operations, digital marketing & marketing services, creative services and other cross-functional teams to achieve successful results that drive established revenue and P&L expectations annually.

This sought-after position requires a true self-starter with a keen pulse on todays consumer and a right/left brain mindset that can disrupt beyond the status quo. Having a passion for the consumer, Strong leadership and relationship management skills are essential along with storytelling, strategic thinking, and project management abilities.

  • Manage all functions of the global brand management discipline across cross-functional teams.
  • Create Line Plans / Line Extension strategies and execute elements of the product commercialization process, including close collaboration with the product development team; assisting in driving the development cycles against the product launch milestones; managing Product Specs, costing targets, margin requirements while delivering market-relevant product solutions that possess a strong price/value proposition.
  • Develop global go-to-market strategies with turn-key solutions and assets that can be localized easily.
  • Identify and recommend consumer-focused product marketing trends, competitive threats and new product and packaging opportunities and strategies to drive growth of new and existing product categories.
  • Prepare product concept Decks for presentation to Licensor.
  • Collaborate with licensing team to maintain communication with licensor. Work with licensor during brand planning and product development process.

  • Manage all promotional and merchandising planning, collaborate with the digital and social media marketing team to execute all promotional activities/activations, including PR, traditional media and all social media platforms and amplifications.
  • Direct the development and management of outbound communications materials, including, creative briefs, Web copy, e-commerce assets, trade show presentation and messaging, sales collateral materials, print and digital media platforms.
  • Collaborate with digital and social media marketing and sales teams to ensure Brand is properly represented on e-commerce sites/accounts.

Position: Digital Marketing Manager


Overview:

The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the day-to-day execution of all trade and consumer facing digital marketing including but not limited to managing social media, digital advertising, web, influencer (earned and paid) and ecommerce needs. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive sales and meet company objectives.

Full-time on-site position located at our companys headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida. Our office is in-person Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:


Digital marketing:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with outside agencies and vendors.
  • Translate brand and product positioning and online marketing strategies into effective campaigns.
  • Curate, manage, schedule and share relevant content across the company's digital outlets.
  • Consistently and successfully deliver workflow for content creation on time and on target period next slide collaborate with brand management and sales team to leverage the audiences of our licensing partners and retailers to drive sales and promotions.
  • Collaborate on creating 360 marketing plans for the company's product lines.
  • Manage aspects of the global marketing budget that relate to digital.
  • Handle copywriting needs across the marketing services department as needed.

Paid media management:

  • Work with Head of Digital Marketing & agency partners to oversee paid media campaigns across search, social media, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Run and monitor social media ad campaigns, boosted posts, promotions, etc.
  • Launch and optimize paid campaigns for strategic initiatives.
  • Track KPIs and producing useful reports for management.

Social media & influencer partnerships:

  • Drive strategy for company-wide social media initiatives alongside social media coordinator.
  • Track competitive brands, viral trends and best in class content including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and other emerging platforms.
  • Research new cutting-edge platforms and how to leverage them.
  • Identify relevant potential influencer partnerships and manage communication with paid partners for monthly campaigns.

Reporting:

  • Review social media, digital advertising, influencer and web analytics. Prepare for reports and circulate to key stakeholders at recurring basis.
  • Provide recaps and insights post campaign period.
  • Develop pitch tools for sales and licensing utilizing historical data and future plans.

Other:

  • Serve as an evangelist for the Basic Fun! Story and showcase company culture as applicable to digital initiatives.
  • Oversee interns, contractors and junior level staff members.
  • Document process, workflow and support project management.
  • Manages the project management system (Wrike) for the Marketing Services team including trouble shooting, training, blueprints and processes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • A love of toys and having fun!
  • The ideal candidate should have a BA or BS degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Direct paid media experience preferably across Google, Meta, and TikTok.
  • Live and breathe social media platforms and have an eye for spotting trends.
  • Organizational ninja with the ability to handle many projects/deadlines concurrently.
  • Ability to partner and excel in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of content creation (talent for storytelling is a plus).
  • Software proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms and scheduling tools.

Position: Senior Brand Manager

Key responsibilities include: developing and executing the Brand Strategies for the respective lines (across both Product and Marketing), acting as the global ambassador for the brands, and being the central point of all communication across multiple departments throughout the organization (inclusive of Sales, Product Development, Operations, Digital & Social Marketing, Creative Services/Packaging, and Finance). Expectation is that this role achieves the necessary results/metrics established to drive the expected revenue and P&L volume annually.

    • Line Plan Management – inclusive of its creation, daily maintenance, and reporting out of financials to Sr. Management team members.

Ensuring you are delivering market-relevant product solutions that possess a strong price/value proposition.
    • Financial Management – ensuring all cost targets, quotes, financials, and margin requirements meet retail expectations (while meeting/exceeding Sr Management expectations).
    • Brand Management – communicate to sales on a weekly basis all updates/changes to the product lines that impacts what they are selling in at retail; help Sales with sell in by being on the pulse of what is happening at retail and offering them solutions to fit a retailers needs; constantly auditing the brands execution on e-commerce sites to drive the highest visibility, engagement, and sales potential.
    • Creative Management – collaborate with the Creative Services team to develop and execute impactful packaging and graphic design pieces, that engage consumers and drive sales.
  • Act as the ultimate Brand/Product ambassador to both internal and external constituencies; demonstrating your leadership role by showing them you understand and know what they want.
  • Develop and lead the execution of best-in-class global go-to-market strategies with turn-key solutions and assets that can be localized easily.
  • Work with the Global Sales team to support key distribution channels in their markets with: custom initiatives and account specific plans (inclusive of products and promotions), in-store graphics, and more.
  • Identify and recommend consumer-focused product solutions that hit on market trends, position us to win against competitors, and will drive incremental growth for the company.
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Social Media Marketing team to execute all promotional activities/plans throughout the calendar year (inclusive of Public Relations, traditional media, and social/digital platforms).
  • Create and present product concept decks to licensors for consideration.
  • Work collaboratively with the licensing team to maintain communication with licensors; ensuring all brand planning and product development updates are communicated in a timely fashion.
